Paper Boat Studios is a printmaking and design studio located in Salt Lake City, Utah. It was launched in 2008 by Amy Thompson and Mandolin Brassaw in Saint Louis and Seattle. It is now Amy's personal imprint, through which she publishes artist's books and works on paper out of her home studio.

Amy is a tenure-line faculty member in the Book Arts Program located within the J. Willard Marriott Library at the University of Utah. She teaches Typography and Book Design & Production, among other courses. She holds a B.S. in Studio Art and Biology from Willamette University and an M.F.A. in Visual Art with emphases in Printmaking and Book Arts from Washington University in Saint Louis.
